(from other departments and units) academic Maastricht University body installed by the SBE Board and the law gives a Board of Examiners the following duties, tasks and responsibilities:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>To establish guidelines and instructions, within the framework of the Education and Examination Regulations (EER), to assess and determine (final) examinations\u00a0and to monitor the correct and fair implementation of these guidelines and instructions;<\/li><li>To monitor and ensure the quality of course examinations\u00a0and Master&#8217;s Thesis, by checking the validity, reliability, transparency and efficiency of examinations\u00a0and grading procedures;<\/li><li>To monitor and determine in an objective and professional manner whether students have fulfilled all requirements, as outlined in the Education and Examination Regulations (EER), in terms of knowledge, insight and skills required for obtaining the Executive MBA degree of UMIO, diploma or certificate;<\/li><li>To impose sanctions upon the student, in the event of Irregularities (including Fraud, Plagiarism, Forgery and Academic Outsourcing);<\/li><li>To appoint examiners to courses of degree programmes to administer and conduct examinations\u00a0and to evaluate and determine (final) examination\u00a0results;<\/li><li>To evaluate and grant requests for exemption, extension and\/or deferment;<\/li><li>To issue the UMIO Executive MBA Degree and Transcript;<\/li><li>To draft an annual report of its activities.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The Board of Examiners is responsible for the Executive programmes of UMIO.
