Before starting the programme I convinced myself that hard knowledge will armor me for professional success. However, I see also another trend of management in general and also for my personal growth. I learned by experience that trust and openness is the key to management success. I want to explore this concept and test it during my studies and assignments, such as group work or during the Leadership Development Trajectory.
As Director Development & Alumni Relations at Maastricht University and from my own experience as a former student of the MaastrichtMBA, I can only underline the importance of lifelong learning. The MaastrichtMBA allows you to connect academic insights to existing challenges in your own workplace and to learn from fellow professionals around the world.
The programme surpassed my expectations in many aspects. The international mix surprised me the most. The focus on leadership and sustainability was also a surprise. This programme gave me the flexibility and tools necessary to deal with topics from different perspectives compared to just my engineering background. I’ve learned to discuss with people from all practices, and now I can use appropriate language with different people.
