Describe yourself in three words?

Efficient, curious, and authentic.

What motivated you to become a student president of the MaastrichtMBA programme?

We all stand on the shoulders of giants, and I am grateful for that. That’s why, wherever I go, I aim to help make the world a better place.

I see a need for a stronger, more effective bridge between the customers (students) and the providers (MBA programme).

What is one thing you hope to achieve during your term as student president?

I’ll mention two, because I can’t choose just one. First, I aim to increase engagement among students and with the teachers. Second, I want to better align the MBA offerings with students’ needs and expectations.

How would you describe your leadership style?

My leadership style is democratic: I involve others in decision-making and encourage meaningful dialogue. I have also been described as authentic. At the same time, I recognise the value of autocratic leadership and am eager to develop this skill further

What has been the most rewarding part of the MaastrichtMBA journey for you so far?

Gaining new insights, primarily from people, but from the reading material as well.

What’s one challenge you’ve faced during the Executive MBA journey and how did you overcome it?

Obviously, the classical challenge is time management. However, I want to highlight one of the main challenges of online learning: engagement and connection. By actively building relationships with teachers and fellow students, paying attention to others’ comments, and responding thoughtfully, I hope to strengthen this aspect. (Work in progress)

What advice would you give to new students just starting their MBA journey?

Of course, have fun! But you’ll also face tasks you might not enjoy. Connect early with fellow students, shared challenges feel lighter, and joys are even greater when experienced together.

What do you enjoy doing outside of your professional and student life?

Stay active (sport/learning) and spending time with family & friends.

If you could sum up the MaastrichtMBA experience in one word, what would it be and why?

Meaningful. Yes, it’s a powerful tool for personal growth and networking, but ultimately, it empowers you to make the world a better place.
