Here at the MaastrichtMBA, we love our alumni and enjoy staying in touch! We recently caught up with class of 2022 alumnus Willfryd de Ruiter and reminisced over his experience at MaastrichtMBA and his current life. Read more to see what he is doing with all of that potential!
I wanted to get the confirmation on my practical experience. Which I got, but I also got so much more: interaction with students from different cohorts, personal and group coaching, a warm feeling of belonging to the UMIO family, and in some cases even friends for life.
It provided me with the perfect combination of: minimum impact on my day-2-day job, flexibility with regard to personal circumstances, and an attractive price.
Yes I have. Specifically the (personal) leadership elements were life changing, both from a personal and professional perspective.
You do not want to miss this; go for it ! And yes; it will require time, but in return you will receive so much more than what you invested.
As said ‘it will require time’, so make sure at least your individual assignments match the needs of your professional context. This way, your environment will notice your increased impact already from the start.
Employees with an MBA degree are more effective (and maybe even more efficient) in dealing with both the daily issues as well as complex problems. And they will add diversity and inclusion to your team, as they will look differently to the business challenges you face and will invite other to do so as well.
The leadership elements like the Leadership Development Trajectory, the Maastricht week on Personal Leadership and the Orshof week on Leading Strategic Change. This combination kept building upon each other which made it very impactful for me. As mentioned: life changing!
The elective courses and some group assignments. But what I also want to mention is the warm interaction with the UMIO family, represented by Daria, Diana and Ron, among others. Thank you for that!
