Describe yourself in three words?

Curious, ambitious and sports-addicted.

What motivated you to become a student president of the MaastrichtMBA programme?

In the past year, the programme has brought me a ton of new insights, fun, and friendships.

Expectations were high and the programme exceeded them! As president, I would love to help all students get the same kind of positive experience, both personally and professionally.

What is one thing you hope to achieve during your term as student president?

Four killer Thirsty Thursdays!

How would you describe your leadership style?

Collaborative, open-minded, goal-oriented and pragmatic.

What has been the most rewarding part of the MaastrichtMBA journey for you so far?

Meeting many people with a huge variety of backgrounds and experiences, and exchanging with them in the safe space that MaastrichtMBA creates.

What’s one challenge you’ve faced during the Executive MBA journey and how did you overcome it?

Finding time to complete the assignments... with some prioritisation and evening and weekend work it’s doable though!

What advice would you give to new students just starting their MBA journey?

Enjoy and realise that the most valuable part of the MBA are the connections with all your fellow students and sharing experiences with them. So take all the opportunities you get to connect with all of them!

What do you enjoy doing outside of your professional and student life?

Being outdoors – cycling, running, mountaineering, hiking, and running my side business in sustainable cycling apparel: Velor.

If you could sum up the MaastrichtMBA experience in one word, what would it be and why?

Catalytic. I feel the programme acts as a growth enhancer or catalyser in many aspects; for personal growth, career growth, personal connections. It puts some more oxygen on sparks that were burning quietly.
