SBE admitted as new member of GMAC

Maastricht University’s School of Business and Economics (SBE) was admitted as a new member of GMAC at the end of 2019. GMAC is the organisation behind the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) exam. Both SBE and UMIO’s MaastrichtMBA have been using this admission exam for years. The membership gives SBE access to the extensive network of renowned universities and business schools of GMAC.

The GMAC organisation officially welcomed SBE at a conference in November in Fontainebleau, France. Our colleagues from MaastrichtMBA were present to receive the official membership plaque. Last week, MaastrichtMBA Director Boris Blumberg handed the plaque to SBE’s Dean Peter Møllgaard.

In good company

Møllgaard is proud of the new membership. “We at SBE are pleased to be part of this global network of schools committed to maintaining and improving the quality of management education”, he says. “This membership fits perfectly with our Triple Crown accreditation and places us in good company with universities such as Harvard, Yale and Cornell.”

Committed to GMAC

Boris Blumberg is the contact person with GMAC on behalf of SBE. He is also delighted with the membership: “New and innovative approaches to education and research have been decisive for the way in which SBE reached the top as a young school. In a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world, we are committed to GMAC as an institution that is open to innovation and reliable to the highest quality standards. We will contribute to the community of GMAC’s business schools by developing management education that recognises megatrends as digitisation, globalisation, sustainability and responsibility.”
