Organisations operate in an increasingly dynamic and complex business environment, requiring leaders who can adapt to change, develop resilient organisations, and create strategies that deliver long-term sustainable value. This module explores how organisational design, leadership, and human behaviour contribute to sustainable business development, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to lead organisations through transformation while balancing economic, social, and environmental priorities.
At the heart of the module is the human side of business. Participants examine how organisational behaviour, motivation, and culture influence individual and team performance, and how leaders can foster workplace diversity, inclusion, equality, and a strong sense of belonging. By creating environments where people feel valued and empowered, organisations strengthen innovation, resilience, and long-term organisational performance.
The module also explores the role of corporate responsibility, ethical management, governance, and stakeholder engagement in shaping responsible organisations. Guided by a strong code of ethics, participants examine how organisations can promote social responsibility, support human and capacity development, and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, including Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). Through an integrated understanding of people, strategy, and organisational design, participants develop the ability to lead organisational change that creates lasting value for both organisations and society.
